DATES: This Sweepstakes will be open from September 12, 2022 at 12:00am EST until October 18, 2022 at 11:59pm EST ( “Entry Period.”).
WHO MAY ENTER: Open to all legal residents of the United Kingdom, India, Germany, Japan, France, Mexico, or residing in the forty-eight (47) prefectures of Japan or the fifty (50) states of the United States (including District of Columbia), in each case who (i) are 18 years of age or older, or (ii) have otherwise reached the age of majority in the country in which they reside. THIS CONTEST IS VOID WHEREVER RESTRICTED BY, WITHOUT LIMITATION, FILING OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS, OR IS OTHERWISE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Individuals employed by Lenovo (United States) Inc. (“Sponsor”), Formula One Marketing Limited, or their respective parent and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, and/or advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, “Sweepstakes Parties”) at any time during any Entry Period, and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household, are not eligible.
HOW TO ENTER: During the Entry Period, participants can enter the Sweepstakes by registering for Lenovo Tech World 2022 via https://techworld22.lenovo.com/ which is scheduled to be held virtually on October 18, 2022. Eligible entrants (“Entrants”) must have submitted a complete Lenovo Tech World 2022 registration at the close of the Entry Period in order to be eligible. Entrants must also follow all instructions provided by Sponsor to enter. All eligible entries received during the Entry Period will be entered into the drawing. Limit one (1) entry per person. Any attempt or suspected attempt to enter more than once per person, and any use of pen names, nicknames, pseudonyms, as well as any use of multiple email address shall be deemed as tampering and will void all of such Entrant’s entries. All entries containing an erroneous phone and/or email address or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these Official Rules may be disqualified by the Sponsor.
Entries should not contain any offensive or vulgar language nor depict any pornographic or illegal act. Any entries containing such language or any other inappropriate content, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion, will be considered ineligible and will not be part of the Sweepstakes.
By submitting an entry, each Entrant agrees that his or her or their entry complies with these Official Rules. Each Entrant also agrees that Sponsor may disqualify the Entrant from the Sweepstakes if Sponsor believes, in its sole and absolute discretion that an entry fails to comply with these Official Rules. If Sponsor rejects any entry, such entry will be disqualified and will not be considered a valid entry. The submission of an entry is solely the responsibility of the Entrant. Entries may only be made according to the method described above. Automated entries (including but not limited to entries submitted using any robot, script, macro, or other automated services) are not permitted and will be disqualified. Only eligible entries actually received by Sweepstakes Parties will be eligible. Illegible, unintelligible, incomplete, or garbled entries will be disqualified. At 11:59pm EST on October 18, 2022, the Sweepstakes will be closed in its entirety.
Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE): To enter the Sweepstakes without taking the above actions, Entrants must send an email with their full name, complete address and email address to socialmediaaccounts@lenovo.com. All email entries must be sent during the Entry Period, and received on or before October 18, 2022, to be eligible for the Sweepstakes.
OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES: By submitting an entry, each Entrant agrees Sponsor shall own the entry submitted (including all copyrights thereto and all rights embodied therein) and that they and their designees may exploit, edit, publish, use, adapt, modify, copy, disseminate or dispose of any entry, the concepts embodied therein or any elements thereof, online, in print, film, television, or in any other media for advertising and promotional purposes without compensation or notification to the Entrant of any kind, except as prohibited by law.
HOW TO WIN: At 11:59pm EST on October 18, 2022, the Entry Period will be closed in its entirety. On or about October 25, 2022, one (1) winning Entrants from the pool of all eligible entries received during the Entry Period will be randomly selected to win the grand prize. The winner will be notified by Sponsor via email.
Limit one prize per person. Note: You are not a winner of any prize until you have been verified as a winner by Sponsor. Decisions of Sponsor are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
PRIZES: There will be a total of one (1) winner during the Sweepstakes who will receive a trip for two (2) to attend one (1) Formula One race, consisting of the following (collectively, the “Prize”):
- Two (2) tickets to attend one of the Formula One (“F1”) races during the 2023 F1 racing season (the “Race”) within such winner’s region (and geographically closest to winner) as determined by Sweepstakes Parties at their sole discretion (the “Destination”);
- Round trip economy air transportation for the winner and one (1) guest (collectively, the “Travelers”) from the international airport within the winner’s country and closest to the winner’s residence (as determined by the Sponsor) to the Destination on travel dates to be determined by the Sweepstakes Parties based on the Race chosen by such Sweepstakes Parties;
- One (1) hotel room (standard room, based on double occupancy) for three (3) nights in or around the Destination at a hotel to be selected by the Sweepstakes Parties;
- Round trip ground transportation to/from the hotel to the F1 Race circuit for the Race;
- Plus, a stipend of $300 per person per day provided via Visa gift card to cover additional travel expenses to/from the Races, food/beverage costs, etc.
The total AVR of the Prize is valued at approximately $15,000 USD. Actual value may vary based on Prize particulars. Only the Prizes specified in the numbers indicated will be awarded. Prizes are non-transferable, with no cash redemption or equivalent. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component of equal or greater value should any Prize (or component thereof) become unavailable. Except as specifically provided herein, the Prize does not include insurance, personal expenses, incidental charges, gratuities, or any other items not specifically described in these Official Rules. All applicable taxes and usage charges on the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. If required by law, Sponsor or its agents shall require payment from winner of taxes to be remitted to the appropriate taxing authorities. Sponsor expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for injury or loss to any person or property relating to the delivery and/or subsequent use of the Prize awarded. Sponsor makes no representation or warranties concerning the appearance, safety or performance of the Prize (or any component thereof) awarded. Odds of winning a Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.
The Trip Prize is valued at approximately $15,000 USD. Actual value may vary based on prize particulars.
The following additional terms and conditions apply to the Prize awarded in this Sweepstakes:
- All Prize particulars will be determined by the Sweepstakes Parties.
- The winner may be required to reserve the trip Prize, or complete travel by a particular date, as may be advised by Sponsor.
- Each Traveler must have reached the age of majority in his or her or their country of residence, unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Sponsor or any other Prize supplier may require a valid major credit card to be presented by a Traveler for deposit or damage protection purposes.
- If the winner elects to travel with a fewer number of guests than the number of guests provided in the Prize description above, no additional compensation will be awarded under any circumstances.
- Tickets are subject to certain terms and conditions as specified by issuers. Blackout dates may apply (as advised by the Sweepstakes Parties). Documentation that is reasonably necessary for the Sweepstakes Parties to book the Prize for the Travelers must be supplied upon request, failing which the Prize may be deemed to be forfeited, as determined by Sponsor.
- The Travelers are responsible for: ensuring they have all necessary travel documents prior to travel; any and all applicable taxes; any additional expenses not included in the Prize as described in these Official Rules.
- The Sweepstakes Parties are not responsible for: any cancellations, alterations, delays, diversions or other changes to the trip itinerary; any costs or expenses incurred as a result of any changes to the trip itinerary; or any damages, loss or liability in the event any Traveler is denied the ability to travel, whether due to airport restrictions or otherwise. The Sweepstakes Parties are only responsible for the Prize elements listed in these Official Rules, subject to the terms and conditions contained in these Official Rules.
- All tickets issued in connection with the Prize are not eligible for frequent flyer miles. Once reservations are made, they cannot be changed, save as otherwise determined by the Sweepstakes Parties.
- The Sweepstakes Parties and any other Prize suppliers have the right to disqualify or remove any Traveler from any activity at any time if he or she is at any point uncooperative, disruptive, abusive, or unobservant of applicable rules, laws or regulations, or likely to cause or has caused damage to person, property, or the reputation of the Sweepstakes Parties or prize suppliers.
CLAIMING PRIZE: On or about October 25, 2022, the winner will be notified directly by email. Potential winner may be asked to verify eligibility and sign a Release & Waiver of Liability. Verification must be completed within one (1) week of the potential winner’s notification. Upon confirming verification, the Prize will be awarded to the winner.
Failure to verify eligibility may result in disqualification and an alternative potential winner may be selected. If a potential winner is found to be ineligible, is not in compliance with these Official Rules, declines to accept the Prize, or does not comply with Sponsor’s instructions, the Prize may be forfeited, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. If any potential winner forfeits the Prize, then the Prize may be awarded to an alternate winner, selected in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries received during the Entry Period, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sweepstakes Parties shall not be held responsible for any delays in awarding the Prize for any reason. The Prize will only be awarded to a verified winner. Should a winner make any false statement(s) in any document referenced above, the winner will be required to promptly return to Sponsor his/her Prize (or components thereof). By accepting the Prize, Entrants consent to Sponsor’s use of their name, photograph and/or likeness, voice, and statements made by or attributed to them, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed (including, without limitation, print, broadcast and Internet), for all legitimate business purposes, including advertising and promotional activities, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Upon delivery of the Prize to the winner’s address or other means of delivery (electronically, etc.), Sponsor will be deemed to have awarded the Prize to the winner with winner assuming full responsibility for the Prize.
MISCELLANEOUS CONDITIONS: All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. By participating, Entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules which shall be final and binding with respect to all issues relating to this Sweepstakes. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have complied with all of the conditions contained in the Official Rules. Sweepstakes Parties are not responsible for any lost, late, misdirected, stolen, illegible or incomplete surveys/entries, or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Sweepstakes Parties are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes, or any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Sweepstakes. Sweepstakes Parties assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sweepstakes Parties are not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, email, players or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website, or on account of any combination of the foregoing. Sweepstakes Parties are not responsible for any injury or damage to participants or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sweepstakes Parties which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes and select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to the cancellation. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes, or who Sponsor believe to be causing malfunction, error, disruption or damage will be disqualified. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator errors.
By submitting an entry, Entrant acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor may obtain many entries in connection with this Sweepstakes and/or other giveaways staged and/or promoted by Sponsor or produce materials similar to such entries, and that such entries may be similar or identical in theme, idea, format or other respects to other entries submitted in connection with this Sweepstakes. Entrant waives any and all claims Entrant may have had, may have, and/or may have in the future, that any entry and/or other works accepted, reviewed and/or used by the Entrant may be similar to his/her entry, or that any compensation is due to Entrant in connection with such entry or other works used by Sponsor.
By participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to release and forever discharge the Sponsor and all other Sweepstakes Parties, and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, licensees, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”), and agree to indemnify and hold harmless each of the Releasees, from and against any and all claims, damages or liability, including any costs or losses related to personal injury, death, damage to or loss or destruction of property, arising out of, or in any way related to, (i) your participation in the Sweepstakes, (ii) the awarding, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any Prize, in whole or in part, or any travel or activity related to any Prize (or component thereof), and/or (iii) any breach or other violation of these Official Rules.
PRIVACY: By participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to Sponsor’s use of their personal information for both online and offline direct marketing purposes. You may review Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/privacy/. Your personal information may be shared with the other Sweepstakes Parties. The individual Sweepstakes Parties are solely responsible for their use of this information.
ARBITRATION AND CHOICE OF LAW: Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrant agrees that (i) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any Prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association and held at the AAA regional office nearest the Entrant; (ii) the Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and (iii) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than Entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes), and Entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of Entrants and Sponsor in connection with this Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to conflicts of laws rules.
